Treatment & Final Product
The stones blocks of mining that weight from 5 to 40 kilos each, are led to special cutters with diamond disks and they are cut in desirable dimensions. Afterwards they are smoothed in specialized smoothing machines .
So the thickness of the final product depends from the thickness of the initial vein of excavation that is approximately from 3cm to 12cm and sometimes even 15cm .
The surface of smoothing is used to be from 10cm to 25cm in length and from 6cm to 12cm in width.
Mostly we don't use a cutting machine
so we can preserve the natural thickness of the whetstone
that would give a certain gravity to the final product.
